FEC Train 143 across Australian Ave |
Description: |
This is FEC 441 pulling the RBBX Circus Train through Lewis Terminial after the hand over from CSX at the Mission Spur wye. For some reason CSX did not want to put their power on the spur so they backed the RBBX cars down the south end of the wye keeping their power on the main track. FEC hooked up and pulled the cars through the Terminial. This was a big problem for FEC because they had to break the flat cars from the passenger cars and set the flats out on the main track and then go back to get the passenger cars. Due to slack action, comfort and safety, the passenger and animal cars need to be behind the engines. |

FEC Train 143 just out of Lewis Terminal |
Description: |
This is FEC 441 pulling the RBBX passenger cars out of Lewis Terminal across Dixie Hwy where they will hook up to the flat cars that are on the main track. Due to the way CSX handed over RBBX cars, FEC had to break the flat cars from the passenger cars and set the flats out on the main track and then go back to get the passenger cars. Due to slack action, comfort and safety, the passenger and animal cars need to be behind the engines. |
